Lolita, an orca at the Miami Seaquarium that was imprisoned to entertain guests for more than 50 years before the park bowed to public pressure and planned to release it into the ocean, died on Friday. The Miami Seaquarium said in March that Lolita would be returned to her home waters within two years. Many users on the internet believe the Miami Seaquarium waited too long and just let her die in her way too small tank to save the exorbitant costs of the planned release into the Pacific Northwest.
